It’s that time of year… after spring break, we can start to see behaviors start sliding backwards‼️don’t wait to address it - here are some quick fixes that will get things back on track in no time.
✨Review old expectations, but in a new way - turn it into a game or an activity or an interactive anchor chart!
✨Have the whole class practice - if there are times of day that are especially challenging, practice these routines as a whole class.
✨New visuals - having a visual reminder can help students remember what they should be doing. You can even make these for individual students who need extra support
✨Focus on the positive - the more you notice and energize the things going right in your classroom, the more students will see that as the way to get your energy and attention
✨Set some goals - if you have individual students who are really struggling, a daily or weekly sticker chart can help them stay motivated to make good choices.
